As part of the Columbus Crew’s “Summer of Soccer”, Columbus Crew 2 players will be visiting the Hilltop Tigers local youth soccer club to support their summer league, encourage a passion for the beautiful game and donate jerseys and soccer socks.
As part of the Club’s dedication to youth soccer and education in Central Ohio, Columbus Crew 2 is committed to giving back to the community to spread passion for the sport by creating access to the beautiful game through equipment donation and providing inspiration to young athletes while they chase their dreams.
The Columbus Crew’s “Summer of Soccer” – a showcase of global soccer talent at Lower.com Field – launches with the Summer of Soccer Bash presented by G&J Pepsi on Friday, July 12 from 3-8 p.m. at McFerson Commons, a free event open to the public.
The Summer of Soccer Bash marks the start of an exciting stretch further showcasing Columbus is a Soccer City, highlighted by live music, soccer clinics, engaging activations, local tastes and more. Lower.com Field, the home of the 2023 MLS Cup champions, will welcome elite soccer clubs, players and fans from across the world during a fortnight celebrating the beautiful game, including an open training with Chelsea F.C. and Manchester City F.C on Friday, Aug. 2 before their match at Ohio Stadium. Tickets to the English Premier League clubs’ open training sessions at Lower.com Field are available starting at only $25.

Columbus Crew 2 – Columbus Crew’s Second Team – compete in MLS NEXT Pro and play their home matches at Historic Crew Stadium, the first soccer-specific stadium in the United States. A developmental team promoting community involvement, Crew 2 connects the Black & Gold player pathway, which begins with Crew Academy and ends with the Crew’s First Team. Crew 2 finished the inaugural MLS NEXT Pro season with the best regular season record and captured the first-ever MLS NEXT Pro Cup on Oct. 8, 2022. In 2023, Crew 2 again claimed the Eastern Conference championship, earning the right to host the MLS NEXT Pro Cup at Lower.com Field for the second consecutive season.
