Cincinnati Reds News: RHP Hunter Greene, 2024 National League All-Star

ALL-STARS: RHP Hunter Greene this afternoon was named to the National
League All-Star team, joining teammate SS Elly De La Cruz as the Reds’
representatives for the 2024 Midsummer Classic.

• The Reds have multiple All-Stars for the first time since 2021 (Nick
Castellanos & Jesse Winker).

• De La Cruz will be 22 years-187 days old at the All-Star Game on 7/16,
the youngest Reds All-Star since RHP Wayne Simpson was 21 years-224
days old at the 1970 All-Star Game and the youngest position player since
C Johnny Bench was 21 years-228 days old at 1969’s game courtesy Elias.

• De La Cruz is the third-youngest 2024 All-Star (SD’s Jackson Merrill
21-088, Pit’s Paul Skenes 22-048).

• It is the first All-Star selection for both Greene and De La Cruz
