The Pittsburgh Pirates today appointed right-handed pitcher Daulton Jefferies as their additional player for the second game of today’s doubleheader against Detroit.

Jefferies was acquired by the Pirates organization on May 10 in exchange for minor league outfielder Rodolfo Nolasco and assigned to Triple-A Indianapolis, where he has made two starts.
