FC Cincinnati wins for the first time ever in Columbus, 2-1 over Crew in 2024’s Derby 1 Match

Match Notes: 

  • The Crew lost, 2-1, against FC Cincinnati in tonight’s home match at Lower.com Field in Columbus, Ohio.
    • The loss snapped the Crew’s home unbeaten streak of 18 regular season home matches. It was the second-longest such stretch in Club history (22 games from 2008-09).
    • The Black & Gold’s also entered the match with an undefeated streak of 27 matches (18-0-9) at home across all competitions a streak that dated back to May 13, 2023.
  • Midfielder Max Arfsten scored the goal to put the Crew on the board at 89’.
    • It marked Arfsten’s third MLS regular season goal.
    • Tonight, Arfsten recorded nine minutes played, one goal, six accurate passes, 11 touches and three ground duels won.
  • Today’s attendance of 20,900 marked the 24th consecutive MLS sellout at Lower.com Field and the second-highest attendance at the venue.
