San Diego Mojo earns 2024 Pro Volleyball Federation Playoffs

San Diego is postseason bound! The Mojo secured the fourth and final spot in the Pro Volleyball Federation Championship after a four-set victory over the Columbus Fury at Viejas Arena on Tuesday night. After starting the season 1-5, San Diego has won 10 of their last 16 matches.

The victory moved San Diego back into third place in the league standings.

The inaugural Pro Volleyball Federation Championship will be held on May 15 and 18 at the CHI Health Center in Omaha. San Diego is among four teams that will compete for the first title in the nation’s top professional volleyball league and a player bonus of $1 million. The other teams include the top-seeded Atlanta Vibe, second-seed Omaha and Grand Rapids. Fans can purchase tickets for the two semifinal sessions through this link. Temi Thomas-Ailara led the Mojo scoring effort against Columbus with a match-high 20 kills and also added 12 digs for her 10th double-double of the season. Lindsey Vander Weide had 17 kills on 39 swings (.435), and Ali Bastienalli scored 10 points with five kills, two service aces and three blocks. Nootsara Tomkom had a match-high 50 assists with 10 digs, while Ronika Stone had nine kills and three blocks.
