Nate Santos did what very few athletes ever do. Say they are transferring and then come back. He is the first player in Dayton Flyers Men’s Basketball history to enter the transfer portal and then return to the team.

Santos announced April 28 he was entering the famous transfer portal but announced on Twitter Saturday, May 4, that he will play the 2024-25 season with UD.

Santos, a 6-foot-7 forward from Geneva, Ill., played his first two years for the Pittsburgh Panthers. He transferred to the Flyers last June. Santos became a starter for head coach Anthony Grant and ranked second on the team in scoring (11.7 points per game) and rebounding (6.3). He has one season of eligibility remaining.
