St. Louis Cardinals ownership partner Donna ‘DeDe’ Lambert passes at age 84

ST. LOUIS, MO, April 8, 2024 – The St. Louis Cardinals were saddened to learn this weekend of the passing of Donna “DeDe” DeWitt Lambert on April 6 after a lengthy illness. She was 84.

Mrs. Lambert is the sister of Cardinals Principal Owner and Chief Executive Officer Bill DeWitt, Jr. and the aunt of Cardinals President Bill DeWitt III. She was an original member of the ownership group that purchased the team from Anheuser-Busch in 1996.

Mrs. Lambert was preceded in death by her late husband, Don Lambert. She is survived by her devoted sons, William Perkins, Robert Perkins, and Peter Perkins (Middy); and five grandchildren.
