SAN DIEGO, CA – The San Diego Mojo, the area’s newly-minted women’s professional volleyball team, announced Viejas Arena as its home.
Located on the campus of San Diego State University, Viejas Arena is the home of San Diego State Basketball and hosts university functions, cultural events, concerts, and other special-event programming. It features a unique open-air concourse design that allows fans to enjoy the excellent San Diego climate and adds a new experience to attending arena events.
“We could not be more excited to be playing our home matches at Viejas Arena,” said Billy Johnson, President of the Mojo. “Viejas Arena is the premier indoor sports venue in San Diego,and San Diego State University is a great partner. Fans will love the high-energy, memory-making atmosphere we will create at Viejas, and we know we will build a great home court advantage for our team.”
Pro Volleyball Federation is the premier women’s professional volleyball league in North America. The San Diego Mojo are one of seven teams to participate in the league’s inaugural 2024 season, with additional teams already announced for the 2025 season.
Owned in part by five-time Olympian Kerri Walsh Jennings, the Mojo recently wrapped up their first minicamp and now turn their attention toward training camp in advance of the 2024 season. Players report to camp on Saturday, January 7, 2024.
