San Diego Mojo hosts Columbus Fury for first time in PVF history tonight at 7 PM

San Diego Mojo (4-7) vs. Columbus Fury (5-8)

The San Diego Mojo and Columbus Fury will square off for the first time in series history when the franchises play on Sunday, April 7 in San Diego. First serve is set for 4 p.m. PT inside Viejas Arena.

San Diego Mojo Outlook
San Diego will play the second match of a three-match homestand with a 3-3 home record on the year. Last time out, the head coach Tayyiba Haneef-Park and the Mojo secured its biggest win of the season, earning a four-set victory over an Omaha Supernovas team that entered the match with the second-best record in the league. Temi Thomas-Ailara (22 points) and Kendra Dahlke (20 points) each tallied 20-point scoring efforts in the April 2nd win over Omaha. Setter Nootsara Tomkom is averaging a Pro Volleyball Federation-leading 11.3 assists per set and is one of only three players averaging double-digits, while her 442 total assists are fifth in the league. Thomas-Ailara is averaging a team-leading 15.5 points per match-the seventh-best mark in the league, followed by Ronika Stone (10.3) and Lindsey Vander Weide (9.8), who rank 14th and 15th in the PVF, respectively. Stone tops the team in spike ratio (.412) and block wins (24) with Hannah Tapp ranking second with a .407 spike radio and 20 block wins.

Columbus Fury Outlook
Led by head coach Ángel Pérez, Columbus arrives in San Diego in the midst of a three-match losing streak with two of the matches taking place on the road. The Columbus offense runs through Regan Cooper, who leads the team averaging 16.6 points per match, the sixth-best average in the league, while Megan Courtney Lush is scoring 9.5 points per match. Tori Stringer (383 assists) and Raymarlely Santos (316 assists) are the primary setters for the Fury.
