BLUE JACKETS TEAM NOTES
- The Blue Jackets had their two-game winning streak snapped and fell to 9-13-2 in the past 24 contests since Feb. 17 following tonight’s loss to the Islanders.
- New York has won five of the past six contests in regulation in the all-time series and nine of the past 10 overall since Mar. 20, 2022 (CBJ; 1-8-1).
- The teams in the series have combined for 65 or more shots on goal in 11 of the past 14 games (NYI-41; CBJ-27).
- The Blue Jackets scored a goal on their sole power play opportunity tonight and have now converted on six-of-17 power play chances over the past seven games of the series (35.3 pct.).
- With D Zach Werenski’s assist tonight, CBJ blueliners have now recorded 5-14-19 in the last eight contests and 31-137-168 in 76 games this season.
- With F Dmitri Voronkov’s goal tonight, CBJ rookies have now combined for 31-38-69 in 76 contests in 2023-24.
- Columbus scored two first period goals tonight and has now scored at least one first period goal in six of the last eight games (eight total) and 73 first period goals this season.
