OAKLAND, Calif. — The Oakland A’s selected catcher Kyle McCann from Triple-A Las Vegas and optioned right-handed pitcher Zach Jackson to Las Vegas, the club announced today. The A’s also placed left-handed pitcher Sean Newcomb (left knee inflammation) and infielder Aledmys Díaz (right calf strain) on the 60-day injured list retroactive to March 25; left-handed pitcher Scott Alexander (left rib bone contusion) and right-handed pitchers Luis Medina (right knee MCL sprain) and Freddy Tarnok (right hip inflammation) on the 15-day injured list retroactive to March 25; and outfielder Miguel Andujar (right knee lateral meniscus surgery) on the 10-day injured list retroactive to March 25. The A’s re-assigned their remaining non-roster invitees (right-handed pitcher Tyler Ferguson, catcher Carlos Pérez and outfielder Hoy Park) to their minor league camp.
