Head Coach Wilfried Nancy

On Midfielder Derrick Jones making his Crew debut tonight

“Happy to give him minutes because again, he’s been training well. He is learning about the way we play, and he is able to get out of the comfort zone. He deserved it. I didn’t have the possibility to give him minutes [before]. Today was the moment for him so he helped us, and this is good. Also, there was one player who played also four positions – this is (Midfielder/Defender) Sean [Zawadzki]. I don’t like to mention an individual player because this is a collective sport, but I have to say that Sean what he did tonight, and not only tonight, this is a player that I don’t need to talk a lot with him. I just have to do the eye contact sometime. We may have 10 words to talk and discuss with him, and he’s going to be able to understand everything that we want. I’m pleased. I’m really pleased tonight because again, the ‘We Not Me’ was really important for us. I can feel it, and this is why we for the moment we were able to embrace this kind of adversity.”
