BLUE JACKETS TEAM NOTES

  • The Blue Jackets fell to 3-2-0 in the last five games and 6-6-0 in the past 12 contests following today’s loss to the Predators.
  • CBJ fell to 5-2-1 in the last eight home games in the series vs. Nashville since Jan. 10, 2019.
  • The teams in the series have combined for 63-plus shots on goal in five-straight and eight of the past 10 games of the series, including today (CBJ-33, NSH-49).
  • CBJ killed off all three Predators’ power play attempts today and have now killed off all 11 Nashville power play chances over the last three games in the series.
  • The club has killed off 23 of the past 27 opponent power play opportunities since Feb. 21 (85.2 pct.).
  • With D Ivan Provorov’s assist today, CBJ blueliners have now recorded 13-41-54 in the last 26 games and 26-117-143 in 64 games this season.
  • CBJ recorded 33 shots on goal today and have now registered 462 shots on goal over the last 14 contests dating back to Feb. 10 (33.0 avg.).
  • The Blue Jackets blocked 12 shots today and have now blocked 905 shots over the past 53 games dating back to Nov. 6 and 1,114 this season.
  • CBJ have been held to less than two goals for the 11th time in the past 53 contests since Nov. 6.

 

BLUE JACKETS PLAYER NOTES­

  • LW Alexandre Texier notched a goal to extend his points streak to a career best five games (2-4-6; overall, 10-14-24 in 60 GP). With 32-41-73 in 183 career games, Texier ranks third in goals among NHL players born in France, with only Antoine Roussel (85) and Pierre-Edouard Bellemare (64) recording more.
  • Ivan Provorov registered an assist to give him 0-2-2 in the past four contests (overall, 5-23-28 in 64 GP).
  • Daniil Tarasov stopped a CBJ netminder season-high and tied his personal single-game career high after turning aside 47-of-49 shots on goal today. He also recorded 47 saves on Nov. 20, 2022 vs. Florida.  He moved to 3-3-0 with a 2.42 GAA and .935 SV% (203-of-217) over his last six starts since Feb. 21.
