COLUMBUS, Ohio – Columbus is back on the road this weekend, making a return trip to Grand Rapids as they look to extend their win streak to five matches. The Fury opened the season against the Rise and fell in straight sets. This time, with a four-match win streak under their belt, the team will look to extend the streak and even the season series at 1-1.
Fury Players to Watch
Reagan Cooper cannot be stopped. The rookie now has three matches where she has totaled 20 or more kills and had a season-high 29 kills in the five-set win over Orlando last Sunday. Cooper has made the jump from college to the pros look easy and continues to improve with each set she plays. Until a team can prove they have an answer for her, Cooper will be the focal point of the Fury offense.
Rainelle Jones is coming off her best performance of the season with 19 points on 12 kills, five blocks and two aces. Jones has made an impact on the defensive side of the ball all season but her offense is starting to catch up. The middle blocker brings the energy on every play and if she can be a consistent threat on both sides of the ball, she will be tough to stop.
