Columbus Fury ready to continue winning ways as they travel to Orlando for 3 PM Match with the Valkyries

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Fury are looking to extend their win streak as they head back on the road for a rematch with Orlando. In their first meeting, Columbus took the first set but the Valkyries responded by winning the next three sets to earn the 3-1 win on their home court. The Fury have improved with every match they have played and will look to continue that trend on Sunday afternoon.

Fury Players to Watch

Reagan Cooper is soming off a dominant week that earned her Player of the Week honors for the league. She helped lead the Fury to a 3-0 week with a win over league-leading Omaha and two wins over Vegas. She averaged 22 points over the three matches with a season-high 24 points in the team’s two home wins. As a rookie, she has room to grow and will continue to be a focal point of the Fury offense.

Valeria Léon has been one of the most consistent players for the Fury all season. Her serve receive has resulted in 67 percent positive passes and she has a team-leading 62 digs through five matches. Léon has been the defensive leader both on and off the court and the success of the Fury offense starts with her.
