WILDCAT SCRATCHES
• Davidson enters Tuesday’s match up at 15-12 overall and 5-9 in league play.
• Of the Wildcats’ nine conference losses, seven have come within five points or less. Three have been in overtime.
• In those seven losses, the ‘Cats have been tied or held the lead over their opponent in the second half.
• Point guard Grant Huffman leads the ‘Cats in scoring (13.1 ppg) and paces the Atlantic 10 with 5.1 assists per game. His 137 total assists is good for first in the league (51st nationally), while the senior is averaging 14.3 points per game since the start of conference play.
• Sophomore Reed Bailey is averaging 14.9 points per game in league play while scoring 19.8 points per game across his last five outings.

ABOUT THE FLYERS
• Dayton’s Daron Holmes II leads the A-10 in scoring (20.2) and UD in rebounding (7.9). He is the only player in the league’s top six in scoring, rebounding, field goal percentage and blocked shots.
• The Flyers are 21-5 overall and 11-3 in A-10 play, falling to George Mason 71-67 last Wednesday. Despite the loss, Holmes had a game-high 26 points and seven rebounds along with three assists and two steals.
• Dayton checked in at #21 in the Associated Press’ Top 25 Poll on Monday, Feb. 26.

REED BAILEY HEAT CHECK
• Sophomore Reed Bailey has recorded all three career double-doubles this season, most recently with a 23-point 11-rebound effort at Richmond.
• The big man is averaging 19.8 points per game over his last five games, three of which have been 20-point performances.
• Davidson is 2-1 when Bailey records a double-double, picking up wins at Fordham and against La Salle with his well-rounded efforts.
• The Massachusetts native has taken 145 shots from the charity stripe this season, draining 114 free throws (78.6%). His 114 makes checks in at top-5 in the Atlantic 10 from the line.

LAST TIME OUT | DAVIDSON 63, RICHMOND 66 | FEB. 24, 2024
• Jordan King hit three free throws with two seconds left to lift league-leading Richmond over Davidson, 66-63, in Atlantic 10 men’s basketball action Saturday evening inside the Robins Center.
• After a Grant Huffman triple as the shot clock expired evened the score, 49-49, the Spiders took advantage of a lengthy Davidson scoring drought to push the margin back to seven, 58-51 with 4:28 to play.
• As they did all night, the Wildcats responded, this time with a 12-5 spurt highlighted by a Bobby Durkin trey with 14 ticks left, to deadlock things at 63-all. But, on the very next trip, King was fouled on a 3-point attempt, which set up the game-winning free throws

THE LAST MEETING | DAVIDSON 59, DAYTON 72 | JAN. 3, 2024
• Dayton extended its winning streak to eight straight and ended Davidson’s run of seven consecutive with a 72-59 victory over the Wildcats to open the 2023-24 Atlantic 10 slate on January 3 from inside Belk Arena.
• Daron Holmes II paced three Flyers in double figures with 18 points. Kobe Elvis and Nate Santos added 17 and 16, respectively.
• Dayton finished the contest shooting 50 percent, while holding the ‘Cats to just 38.9 percent, including a 10-of-30 effort from deep.

TRENDY ‘CATS
• Davidson is 10-1 this season when four or more ‘Cats score in double figures and 9-2 in midweek contests.
• The Wildcats are 10-4 when Connor Kochera reaches double digits in scoring.
• When Reed Bailey leads Davidson in rebounding, the ‘Cats are 8-6. When he reaches double figures on the glass, the ‘Cats are 2-1.
• Grant Huffman has led the Wildcats in assists in all but two games this season. He has 45 career games leading Davidson in assists.
• When Angelo Brizzi reaches double digits in scoring, Davidson is 4-2.
• The ‘Cats went 6-0 in the month of December, extending their then-streak to seven-straight, the longest win-streak of head coach Matt McKillop‘s tenure.

BETTER EVERY DAY
• One of the Wildcats’ philosophies is to get better everyday, and Davidson has seen the fruits of that labor at the end of the year.
• Since 2003-04, the Wildcats own a 119-38 record in the month of February.
• Davidson is 54-33 in March during that time.

CK 1K
• In addition to scoring his 1,000th career point, Davidson’s Connor Kochera finished with a game-high 19 points to lead the Wildcats past Duquesne, 72-59, on February 7 inside UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.
• A native of Arlington Heights, Ill., Kochera scored 564 points in two years at William & Mary, before becoming the fifth transfer and 55th player in a Davidson uniform to join the 1000-point club.
• In conference play, the senior is averaging 13.4 points per game with nine double-digit performances and a pair of 20+ point efforts.
• Over his last six games, Kochera has reached the double-digit mark and averaged 17.6 points per game during that stretch. He has also matchhed his career high with 29 points against St. Bonaventure.
