Columbus Fury Opponent, Vegas Thrill News: Legendary LSU Volleyball Coach Fran Flory leading Thrill

LAS VEGAS (Nov. 1, 2023) – Pro Volleyball Federation, the first women’s professional volleyball league in the United States, recently named Las Vegas as the seventh team for the inaugural 2024 season, and the city’s newest professional sports team releases upcoming schedule with games February – May. Totaling 24 official matches for the Federation’s first campaign, Vegas Pro Volleyball will play 12 home matches and 12 away matches with their debut on Wednesday, February 7 in Omaha. Vegas’ home arena will be announced in the coming weeks.
My career has been nothing but spectacular so to continue my coaching tenure with the very first professional volleyball team in Las Vegas is both an honor and a dream,” said Fran Flory, Las Vegas head coach and AVCA Hall of Fame inductee. “The potential and talent our team is seeing aligns perfectly with the history that Pro Volleyball Federation is making in Las Vegas and beyond.”

 

Vegas Pro Volleyball joins six other U.S teams for the inaugural season: Atlanta Vibe, Columbus Fury, Grand Rapids Rise, Omaha Supernovas, and San Diego Pro Volleyball. An 8th team, Dallas Pro Volleyball, has been announced as the League’s first expansion team for Season Two in 2025. Overall, in Season One, the League will be showcased in three different time zones in the United States. Matches will take place on 67 different dates between January and May 2024 as opponents will be competing every day of the week.
 
The Vegas roster will include Olympians, National Champions and All-Americans. To date, seven world-class professional players have been signed to a contract and will soon be introduced to the city of Las Vegas.

So, mark your calendars because February 15 will be our home-opener and let’s make history by having a packed house.”

After the regular season, the top four squads in the standings will compete for the Pro Volleyball Federation Championship during the weekend of May 16-19, 2024. The location of the championship will be determined and announced at a later date.
