Columbus Fury News: TEAM RETURNS HOME TO HOST VEGAS ON MONDAY NIGHT

By Annie Walker

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Coming off an impressive road sweep, the Columbus Fury (2-2) return to Nationwide Arena on Monday night to host the Vegas Thrill (2-4). The Fury have won consecutive matches and will look to protect home court from the team they just played on the road. Vegas and Columbus played on Saturday night and have a quick turnaround to make adjustments from the last match.

Fury Players to Watch

Megan Courtney Lush has improved with each match, notching a double-double in the team’s win over Omaha and nearly reaching those numbers again with 10 kills and nine digs in the win over the Thrill. She has three blocks on the season as well and notched her first ace of the year in the win at Vegas. As she gets more comfortable on the attack she will be another strong weapon opposite Reagan Cooper.

Kaitlyn Hord continues to be a positive force on the court for the Fury. She rarely makes mistakes, she has just three attacking errors in four matches, and continues to bring the needed intangibles to succeed on the court. Hord totaled four kills in limited attack attempts in Vegas but also added four blocks and two aces. Her ability to make smart plays and limit mistakes makes her tough to defend.
