BLUE JACKETS TEAM NOTES

  • The Blue Jackets fell to 2-2-0 in the past four games following tonight’s loss to the Sabres.
  • CBJ failed to record a point for just the third time in the last 13 games in the series vs. Buffalo since Mar. 31, 2019 (7-3-3).  The club has now recorded points in 16 of the past 22 dating back to Apr. 8, 2016 (13-6-3).
  • With D Ivan Provorov’s assist tonight, CBJ blueliners have now recorded 10-26-36 in the last 17 games and 23-103-126 in 56 games this season.
  • With F Dmitri Voronkov’s goal tonight, CBJ rookies have now combined for 28-36-64 in 56 games this season.
  • The Blue Jackets blocked 12 shots tonight and have now been credited with 760 blocked shots over the past 45 games dating back to Nov. 6 and have registered 969 blocked shots this season.
  • CBJ have been held to less than two goals in just nine of their past 45 contests since Nov. 6.
  • The Blue Jackets have scored the first goal of the game in 20 of the past 37 contests.
  • Columbus has played in 24 one-goal games this season (8-6-10).
  • The Blue Jackets scored one first period goal tonight and have now scored 55 first period goals this season.
  • CBJ played their seventh of eight Friday games this season, falling to 5-2-0 on the day.
  • Tonight’s attendance was a season-high sellout crowd of 18,943, marking the ninth sellout in the past 11 games at Nationwide Arena dating back to December 16.
