MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – RMU wraps up its two-game road trip Saturday afternoon when it faces Wright State. Tipoff time is 1 p.m. The game will stream on ESPN+ and fans can hear the hometown call from Chris Shovlin on the RMU Gameday App.
RMU LATELY
RMU (10-16, 6-9 HL) fell to Youngstown State 87-77 February 14. Markeese Hastings is 10th in the HL with 15.7 points per game. He is second in the league with 8.3 rebounds per contest and a 54.5 shooting percentage. The Colonials are 3-10 on the road.
WRIGHT STATE LATELY
The Raiders (14-12, 9-6 HL) have won five-of-seven but are coming off a 74-60 loss against Oakland February 10. Trey Calvin is second in the HL averaging 19.8 points per game while Brandon Noel is third in HL with 7.4 rebounds per game. Holden Turner lead the HL with a 54.8 shooting percentage and Calvin leads the league with an 89.2 free throw percentage. The Raiders lead the HL in scoring with 85.0 points per game. WSU is 7-5 at home.
RMU AND WRIGHT STATE HISTORY
RMU and Wright State did not meet until the Colonials joined the Horizon League prior to the 2020-21 season. In seven matchups, Wright State has won six.
RMU AND WRIGHT STATE LAST TIME OUT
Wright State led from wire-to-wire in its 101-76 victory over RMU January 10 at the UPMC Events Center. Stephaun Walker scored 15 of his team-high 18 points in the 1st half. He also led RMU with eight rebounds. Justice Williams scored 14 and Jackson Last 10.
UP NEXT
RMU returns to the UPMC Events Center for the next three contests beginning with Oakland Thursday, February 22. The Colonials will honor Markeese Hastings and Josh Corbin Sunday, February 25 for Senior Day against Cleveland State. The homestand wraps up Wednesday February 28 when Northern Kentucky comes to town.
