INDIANAPOLIS (February 6, 2024) – Oakland posted a 2-0 record to move into a tie at the top of the League standings, Milwaukee earned a pair of wins and six #HLMBB teams picked up one win each in this week’s action.

#HLMBB DIG DEEPER
- Oakland extended its home winning streak to six games this week and the Golden Grizzlies have won nine of their last ten games overall. In #HLMBB play, Blake Lampman leads OAK with 17.3 points per game followed by Trey Townsend with 16.0 points per game. Townsend paces the Golden Grizzlies with 7.2 rebounds per League game while Lampman ranks first among qualifying #HLMBB student-athletes with 4.2 three-point field goals per League contest.
- Milwaukee leads the League in rebounds per game (38.6) and blocked shots per game (5.08) in #HLMBB play. Darius Duffy ranks first in the League with 2.0 blocked shots in #HLMBB games while BJ Freeman is first in assists per League game (5.1) and adds 17.3 points per game.
- Green Bay’s Noah Reynolds posted 19 points in a win over IUPUI on Thursday as the Phoenix improved to 10-3 in #HLMBB play. Reynolds paces the League with 20.8 points in #HLMBB contests, adding 5.1 assists and shooting 53.2 percent from the floor. Teammate Foster Wonders leads #HLMBB in three-point field goal percentage (45.7) in League contests.
- Youngstown State’s DJ Burns is the top rebounder in #HLMBB play, totaling 10.5 per League game. Burns averaged a double-double last week with 16.0 points and 14.5 rebounds per game for the Penguins. Fellow Penguin Bryson Langdon has posted a League-best 3.1 assist-turnover ratio in #HLMBB contests.
- Wright State leads the League in several offensive categories in #HLMBB play, including scoring offense (88.5 points per game), field goal percentage (55.3), three-point field goal percentage (41.3) and assists (18.77). Three Raiders pace the League in field goal percentage in #HLMBB action. AJ Braun ranks first (72.0 percent) followed by Brandon Noel (61.0) and Tanner Holden (58.4).
- Cleveland State’s Tristan Enaruna has scored 23+ points in his last four games. He averaged 25.0 points this week for the Vikings and is now averaging 18.6 points per game in #HLMBB play.
- Jalen Jackson leads Purdue Fort Wayne with 17.4 points per game in League play. Jackson and two other ‘Dons, Rasheed Bello and Anthony Roberts, rank in the top three in steals per #HLMBB game.
- Markeese Hastings averaged a double-double of 13.5 points and 10.5 rebounds in RMU’s two games this past week. The graduate student shot 55 percent with a 1.67 assist-turnover ratio for the week.
- Marques Warrick paced the Norse with 20 points, three rebounds, three assists and a steal against Wright State on Sunday. He took over second place all-time in school history in scoring as he now sits at 2,027 career points and trails Drew McDonald by just 39 points for the top spot in program history.
- Bryce Monroe averaged 15.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game for IUPUI this week.
- Jayden Stone led Detroit Mercy with 26.5 points per game this week.
