Flames to Watch

«  C Blake Coleman leads the club in goals (tied) and points with 20-19-39 in 47 contests this season and has registered 10-7-17 with six multi-point efforts in the last 14 games.

«  C Nazem Kadri ranks second on the club in assists and points with 16-22-28 in 47 contests and has picked up 6-6-12 in his past 10 games.

«  C Elias Lindholm, who leads the team in assists with 8-23-31 in 47 games this season, has totaled 9-12-21 in 28 career appearances against CBJ, including 4-4-8 in his last seven contests.

All-Time Series

«  Columbus has gone 34-24-8 in 66 all-time meetings vs. Calgary, including 14-14-4 on the road.

«  CBJ have earned points in three-straight meetings in the series (2-0-1) after picking up a 3-1 win at Nationwide Arena on Oct. 20.

«  The Blue Jackets have picked up points in 10 of the last 12 games (8-2-2) played at the Scotiabank Saddledome but the Flames have won the last four consecutive home contests (CBJ; 0-2-2).

«  The winning team has scored four-plus goals in five of the last six games played at the Saddledome.

«  Columbus has killed off all 18 Calgary power play attempts over the last eight games of the series dating back to Mar. 19, 2019.

BLUE JACKETS TEAM NOTES

• The Blue Jackets kicked off a stretch of nine of 10 games on the road over a month’s span from Jan. 23-Feb. 21 on Monday.  It includes the team’s first of two five-game road trips of the campaign from Jan. 23-30 (also Mar. 19-28).
• The Blue Jackets have played in 20 one-goal games this season, including eight of the last 16.  The 20 one-goal games are tied for the 10th-most in the NHL.
• Columbus has played past regulation seven times (3-4) over the last 13 games, including six times (2-4) over an eight-game stretch from Dec. 21-Jan. 6.  The last time the club played in at least six overtimes/shootouts over an eight-game stretch was when it played six-in-seven from Mar. 11-25, 2021.  CBJ have had 14 of their games decided after regulation this season, tied for the fourth-most in the NHL.
• CBJ rank 10^th in the NHL with 100 goals scored at 5-on-5 play this season.
• Columbus ranks seventh in the NHL with 46 first period goals.
• The club has combined for 631 blocked shots over the past 35 games since Nov. 6 and ranks fourth in the league in blocks-per-60 minutes (17.97) and fifth in blocked shots (840) in 2023-24.
• Blue Jackets blueliners have combined for 4-9-13 over the last seven contests and 12-54-66 over the past 30 contests.  They rank fifth-T among NHL defensive units in assists and 10^th in points with 17-86-103 in 46 games this season.  The club also leads the league in assists percentage (38.9 pct.) and ranks second in points percentage (29.0 pct.) recorded by its defense.
• CBJ’s rookie class has combined for 22-35-57 in 46 games this season.  They lead the league among teams’ rookies in goals and rank second-T points and fourth in assists.  The Blue Jackets are one of two teams in the league (Minnesota) to have two rookies with 20 or more points in 2023-24 (Fantilli-25, Voronkov-23).

BLUE JACKETS PLAYER NOTES

• D Adam Boqvist has collected assists in four of his past seven games (0-5-5) and has recorded 0-7-7 in 19 outings this season.
• RW Yegor Chinakhov has registered 9-5-14 with three multi-point efforts over the last 18 games.  He has tallied 10-6-16 with nine even-strength goals and four multi-point games in the past 24 outings since Nov. 27.
• C Adam Fantilli has registered 2-4-6 in the last 12 games and 3-6-9 in the past 15 contests.  The 2023 third overall pick ranks third among NHL rookies in goals, fourth-T in points and seventh in assists with 11-14-25 in 46 appearances this season.
• LW Johnny Gaudreau has collected points in three of his past five games (0-4-4), including his team-leading seventh multi-point effort with two helpers against the Canucks on Jan. 15.  He has recorded 3-11-14 in the last 16 games and 6-17-23 with six multi-point outings in his last 29 contests after collecting 1-5-6 in the first 17 games of the season.
• C Kent Johnson collected an assist on CBJ’s lone goal on Tuesday and has posted 5-7-12 with three multi-point efforts in his last 19 games overall since Dec. 7.
• RW Kirill Marchenko, who leads the team in goals, has collected 14-10-24 in 44 contests this season and has already set a new career high in assists after posting 21-4-24 in 59 contests during his 2022-23 rookie campaign.
• D Ivan Provorov ranks second on the club in blocked shots and time on ice and third in assists with 4-19-23 and 89 blocked shots, while averaging 22:48 TOI in 46 appearances this season.
• D Damon Severson has collected 4-3-7 with two multi-point efforts over his last 15 outings.  He leads club defensemen in goals with 5-7-12 in 31 appearances this season.
• C Cole Sillinger has registered 7-2-9 with two multi-point efforts over the past 14 contests.
• LW Dmitri Voronkov notched the club’s lone goal on Tuesday at Edmonton and has posted 7-6-12 over the past 23 contests. He ranks fourth among NHL rookies in goals, sixth in points and eighth-T in assists with 10-13-23 in 40 games this season.
