Wright State Men’s Basketball News: Raiders Feb. 1 home contest against Youngstown State will air on ESPNU

INDIANAPOLIS/DAYTON –The Wright State men’s basketball home game against Youngstown State on Thursday, February 1 has been selected to be nationally televised on ESPNU, the Horizon League and ESPN announced on Thursday afternoon.

The game moves to a 9 p.m. tipoff with the national television selection.

The selection marks the third national television selection this season for the Raiders and will be Wright State’s 35th national television broadcast under head coach Scott Nagy. The Raiders previously hosted Cleveland State on ESPN2 inside the Nutter Center on January 4 and played at Youngstown State on ESPN2 on January 12. Wright State has now had three regular season ESPN linear games in each of the last two seasons and has had at least one regular season linear contest in 16 of the last 17 seasons dating back to 2006-07, with multiple regular season contests 12 times in that same 17-year stretch.

The Raiders are currently 9-9 overall and 4-3 in Horizon League play, having won three of the last four contests since the calendar flipped to January. Wright State is in action with a pair of games at home this weekend, beginning Thursday night as the Raiders host Green Bay before they welcome Milwaukee on Saturday. Both of the upcoming games are 7 p.m. tipoffs.

Wright State’s contest against Youngstown State on February 1 kicks off the final stretch of the regular season that will see the play six of their final nine Horizon League contests at home inside the Nutter Center.

The Horizon League has one additional wildcard date this season on March 2. Selections are made by ESPN and the Horizon League office approximately two weeks prior to each national broadcast date.
