ABOUT THE BILLIKENS

  • Saint Louis is coming off a thrilling come-from-behind win over Saint Joseph’s on Wednesday. The Billikens were down by 20 in the first half, but stormed back to win 88-85 in the largest Billiken comeback victory in Chaifetz Arena history.
  • Gibson Jimerson was a big part of the comeback against St. Joe’s, popping in a career-high-tying seven 3-pointers (six in the second half) en route to 27 points. For the season, he leads the Bills and is seventh in the A-10 with 17.2 ppg.
  • Bradley Ezewiro is five games into his Billiken career and is averaging 17.2 points and 7.6 rebounds. He has scored in double figures in all five of his games this year. Ezewiro became eligible on Dec. 15 with the rest of the NCAA’s two-time transfers.
  • Cian Medley finished with seven points, five rebounds and five assists against Saint Joseph’s. He hit four straight FTs in the final minute-plus to ice the game. Medley leads SLU with 49 assists.

  • SLU has already had seven different starting lineup combinations this season, the most in the Travis Ford era.

  • SLU will be looking for its first win against a ranked opponent since defeating No. 25 VCU in the 2013 A-10 Championship game at Barclays Center. The Billikens have lost 17 straight games against a ranked opponent.

LAST TIME OUT

  • Led by Gibson Jimerson’s blazing 3-point shooting in the second half, Saint Louis overcame a 20-point deficit and defeated Saint Joseph’s 88-85 Wednesday night at Chaifetz Arena.
  • The 20-point deficit is the largest overcome by Saint Louis in a Billiken victory in Chaifetz Arena history. The previous record was 18 points vs. North Carolina A&T in 2008-09 and Jacksonville in 2010-11.
  • Jimerson’s game-high-tying 27 points included 24 in the second half, fueled by a 6-of-7 effort from beyond the arc. He was 7-of-11 from distance for the game, matching his career high for 3s. The Billikens’ 14 triples (14-of-26, 53.8 percent) were a season high and equaled the school record for 3-pointers at Chaifetz Arena.

Ezewiro grabbed a team-high six rebounds. Cian Medley finished with seven points, five rebound and five assists and hit clutch free throws down the stretch to ice the game.
