Coaches Poll Top 25 NCAA College Basketball Rankings Week 11: TCU with wins over No. 9 Oklahoma and No. 2 Houston, gets ranked at #22 this week

FORT WORTH – No. 19 TCU (13-3, 2-1) will play three of its next four games on the road starting with one at new Big 12 Conference team Cincinnati (12-4, 1-2) on Tuesday at 6 p.m. CT at Fifth Third Arena on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.

The Frogs are coming off consecutive wins over AP Top 10 teams for the second time in program history with wins over No. 9 Oklahoma and No. 2 Houston.

TCU is 2-1 on the road with its lone loss by two points at No. 2 Kansas on Jan. 6.
–    TCU’s three losses this season are all to teams ranked in the top 40 of the NET and all Quadrant 1 defeats.
–    TCU’s remaining strength of schedule rank is 13th nationally according to ESPN’s BPI.
–    TCU is ranked for the first time this season, coming in at No. 19 in the AP Top 25 poll.
–    Under Dixon, TCU is 30-21 as a Top 25 team. The Frogs are 21-19 all-time as a ranked team on the road.
–   TCU is shooting 73.3 percent from the free throw line. The best under Jamie Dixon is 70.6 percent in 2017-18.
–    TCU has a scoring margin of 16.2, which ranks 12th nationally.
–    Emanuel Miller earned Big 12 Player of the Week honors for the second time this season on Monday.
–    Miller leads the team and ranks sixth in the Big 12 with 16.8 points per game.
–    Miller has reached 20 points in four of the last seven games including 27 last Wednesday vs. No. 9 Oklahoma.
–    Miller is also the team leader in rebounds with 5.9 per game, which ranks 16th in the Big 12.
–    Jameer Nelson Jr. ranks second in the Big 12 and 12th nationally with 2.6 steals per game.
–    Nelson is one of 12 players nationally that is averaging at least 11.0 points, 3.0 assists and 2.5 steals per game.
–    TCU leads the nation with 22.8 fastbreak points per game. No other team averages 20.
–   TCU ranks eighth nationally in average possession length at 14.8 seconds per offensive possession.
–    TCU ranks third in the Big 12 and 11th nationally with 10.2 steals per game.
–    TCU ranks fourth in the Big 12 and 15th nationally with 16.2 turnovers forced per game.
–    The Frogs have forced 13 or more turnovers in all but two games this season (Houston and Nevada).
–    TCU ranks third in the Big 12 and ninth nationally with 18.9 assists per game. The best under Dixon is 18.6 in 2017-18.
–    TCU ranks third in the Big 12 and 21st nationally with 84.0 points per game. The best under Dixon is 75.4 in 2017-18.
–    TCU ranks third in the Big 12 and 23rd nationally with a turnover margin of +4.0.
–    TCU ranks fourth in the Big 12 and 24th nationally in field goal percentage at 48.9 percent.
–    TCU has held its opponents to less than 30 percent from 3-point range in four of the last five games.

LAST TIME OUT
–    An Emanuel Miller layup with 6.7 seconds to play put TCU on top for good in a 68-67 win over No. 2 Houston in a defensive battle Saturday evening in Fort Worth. The Frogs trailed by as many as 12 in the first half.
–    TCU’s win was the Frogs’ top-ranked win at home since 2020 when it defeated No. 2 Baylor.
–    Avery Anderson III scored 11 points and led TCU in assists for the sixth time with six.
