Ohio State head football coach Ryan Day has had a good two week period with players announcing they will return to finish business and getting key transfers who can help the team move forward.

The 44-year-old coach got more good news on Thursday, that his Number 2 receiver, Emeka Egbuka announced on social media that he will return to the Buckeyes for his senior season. The Steilacoom, Washington native had 41 catches for 515 yards and four touchdowns in 10 games last season while fighting through a nagging ankle injury.

2022 was a tremendous season for Egbuka, as he caught  74 passes for 1,151 yards and 10 touchdowns, earning him second-team All-Big Ten honors.

From his Instagram account, he said: “During my time thus far at Ohio State, I have grown and learned more than I thought possible,” Egbuka wrote. “These last three years have come with trials and tribulations but overwhelming joy as well. Over the last couple weeks as I continued to pray and seek the Lord on what was in store with my future and throughout all of it, He has remained faithful.”
