COLUMBUS, Ohio – Jacob Pasteur, a senior outside hitter from Westminster, Maryland, has been named a preseason first-team All-American by Off the Block this week.

Pasteur was named an AVCA First Team All-American following the 2023 season, in which the Buckeyes advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament after winning a share of the Midwestern Collegiate Volleyball Association regular-season title and then sweeping the MIVA Tournament.

Earlier this fall, Pasteur was selected as the preseason MIVA Player of the Year and to the MIVA preseason first team.

In leading the Buckeyes to a pair of MIVA titles a year ago, Pasteur was selected the 2023 MIVA Player of the Year and to the All-MIVA First Team.

Entering the 2024 season, Pasteur leads the Buckeyes with 1,102 career kills, 99 aces, 417 digs, 166 blocks and 1,294 career points.

Ohio State opens the 2024 season Jan. 3 (7 p.m./B1G+) against North Greenville University at the Covelli Center in Columbus. Admission and parking are free at all Ohio State regular-season home matches.
