INDIANAPOLIS/DAYTON – The Wright State men’s basketball home game against Cleveland State on Thursday, January 4 has been selected to be nationally televised on ESPN2, the Horizon League and ESPN announced on Thursday afternoon.

The game remains a 7 p.m. tipoff with the national television selection.

The selection will be Wright State’s 33rd national television broadcast under head coach Scott Nagy. The Raiders had three regular season ESPN linear games last season and have had at least one regular season linear contest in 16 of the last 17 seasons dating back to 2006-07, with multiple regular season contests 12 times in that same 17-year stretch.

The Raiders are currently 6-6 overall after a Friday afternoon win against Muskingum. Wright State is 1-0 in Horizon League play and jumps back into League action on December 29 and 31 in Wisconsin against Green Bay and Milwaukee, respectively, before returning to the Nutter Center to open the 2024 calendar year with the national broadcast.

Wright State grabbed a 92-82 home victory over regional foe Miami (OH) on Tuesday night. Tanner Holden finished with a game- and season-high 27 points, including 16 in the first half, while Brandon Noel tallied his second double-double of the season with a 25-point, 12-rebound effort as he added four steals and three assists. Alex Huibregtse added a season-high 17 points and Trey Calvin notched 11 points while adding four assists and three steals.

Wright State’s contest against Cleveland State is one of only three home games in the month of January for the Raiders, who will have three straight road contests after the national broadcast – January 6, 10 and 12 – at Purdue Fort Wayne, Robert Morris and Youngstown State. The Raiders will host Green Bay and Milwaukee inside the Nutter Center January 18 and 20, respectively, before heading back on the road for visits to Cleveland State (January 25) and IUPUI (January 28).

The Raiders will play six of their final nine Horizon League contests at home inside the Nutter Center to close the season.

Additional Horizon League wildcard dates this season are: January 12, January 25, February 1 and March 2. Selections are made by ESPN and the Horizon League office approximately two weeks prior to each national broadcast date.
