Elvis Had 27 Points, 5 Rebounds & 3 Assists In Dayton’s Win Over UC On Saturday

WASHINGTON, D.C. – University of Dayton guard Kobe Elvis has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference Co-Player of the Week after his performance UD’s win over Cincinnati Saturday night in the Hoops Classic presented by altafiber and CareSource.

Elvis had 27 points (14-14 FT) with five rebounds and three assists (one turnover) in the UC win.  The 27 points were a career high, one week after establishing his career best of 24 points in the Troy win.  His 14-for-14 performance from the line was the third-best single-game mark in UD history, behind Edwin Young (18-for-18) and Henry Finkel (15-for-15).

The junior from Brampton, Ont. has not missed a free throw since his first attempt of the season (29).  He leads the A-10 and is third nationally in free throw percentage (.967, 29-30).

Elvis shared this week’s A-10 Player of the Week Award with Erik Reynolds II of St. Joe’s.

Dayton, 8-2 on the season, hosts Oakland Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET.
