CLEVELAND – The Ohio football program’s redshirt sophomore running back Sieh Bangura earned Mid-American Conference East Offensive Player of the Week accolades for his performance against the Central Michigan Chippewas.

Bangura (Bowie, Md.) played an integral part in the Bobcats’ offense last Wednesday (Nov. 15), moving the ball down the field efficiently in Ohio’s 34-20 victory over Central Michigan. The redshirt sophomore hit two season bests: rushing yards (126) and carries (21). While Bangura didn’t score any of Ohio’s three rushing touchdowns, he helped position the Bobcats to score throughout the game.

The Bobcats are set to close the regular season on Friday, Nov. 24 when they travel to Akron, Ohio to take on the Akron Zips at InfoCision Stadium. Kickoff is set for noon ET and can be seen on CBSSN.
