In front of a record-setting title match crowd of 25,000+, NJ/NY Gotham FC secured its first-ever Championship title in a thrilling 2-1 victory at the 2023 NWSL Championship, presented by Bud Light, last Saturday night at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego. Gotham FC forward Midge Purce was named Championship MVP.

Gotham FC earned their first NWSL Championship trophy to complete the turnaround from worst-to-first from last year. Gotham produced their 2-1 win thanks to goals from forwards Lynn Williams and Esther González.

As we wrap up another NWSL season, we want to express our deepest gratitude to the powerhouse of support – YOU, our amazing NWSL fans!
