BLUE JACKETS TEAM NOTES

  • The Blue Jackets fell to 10-4-1 in the past 14 games of the series vs. the Coyotes dating back to the 2015-16 season.
  • CBJ blueliners posted 2-2-4 tonight and have now combined for 5-31-36 over the past 14 contests and 7-34-39 in 17 games this season.
  • Columbus blocked 12 shots tonight and has been credited with 120 blocked shots over the past six contests and 329 in 17 games this season.
  • The Blue Jackets killed off one-of-two of the Coyotes’ power play opportunities tonight, allowing a power play goal for the first time in 10 games (Oct. 28 vs. NYI).  The club has now killed off 23-of-24 opponent power play opportunities over the past ten contests dating back to Oct. 28 (95.8 pct.) and 35-of-37 opponent power play chances over the last 14 games since Oct. 10 (94.6 pct.).
  • CBJ have now played eight one-goal games this season (1-3-4), including five of the last seven.
  • The Blue Jackets played their fifth (1-3-1) of 16 Thursday games this season.

BLUE JACKETS PLAYER NOTES­

  • Boone Jenner tied Rick Nash for the franchise record for most games played Blue Jacket, skating in his 674th game tonight.
  • Damon Severson tied his single-game career-high with his third two-goal game (MR: Jan. 16, 2018 at NYI).  He now has posted 3-8-11 in 16 career games vs. Arizona, including points in three-straight contests vs. the club (3-2-5).
  • Zach Werenski registered his ninth assist of the season and has now tied his career high with assists in four-straight games (0-4-4; overall, 1-9-10 in 15 GP). He improved to 3-6-9 in 11 career games vs. the Coyotes, recording assists in four consecutive outings (2-4-6) as well as points in five of his six career home appearances (2-4-6), including assists in each of his last four (1-4-5).
  • Alexandre Texier tallied his third assist of the campaign to extend his points streak to four-straight games (2-2-4).  It ties his career high point streak set Nov. 6-15, 2021 (3-1-4).  The forward has recorded points in five of the past six outings.
  • LW Dmitri Voronkov tallied his sixth assist of the season, giving him assists in four of the past five games (0-4-4) and points in eight of his first 11 NHL games (2-6-8).
  • Ivan Provorov recorded his team-leading 10th assist of the campaign and now has 0-10-10 in 17 contests.
