Wright State News: Wright State Athletics and Alpha Media Dayton announce new radio deal

DAYTON – Wright State Athletics and Alpha Media Dayton are excited to announce Alpha Media station 101.5 HANK FM as the new radio home of Wright State men’s basketball, beginning Friday night as the Raiders tipoff the 2023-24 season against Colorado State.

Along with the live game broadcasts, 101.5 HANK FM will be the new home of the Wright State Basketball Coaches show airing on various Monday nights from 6-7 p.m. throughout the season.

Every Wright State men’s basketball contest from Friday’s season opener through the postseason will be live over the air on 101.5 HANK FM in the Dayton metro area, as well available to stream live nationwide through a variety of free streaming apps. The iHeartRadio app, the TuneIn Radio app and the Audacy app are all FREE and each carry 101.5 HANK FM. Just search “101.5 HANK FM” on any of the three apps for Raider Basketball.

In addition to all games airing live on 101.5 HANK FM, the majority of Wright State games will also be simulcast live on WING 1410 AM, Dayton’s ESPN Radio station.

“We are excited about our new partnership with 101.5 HANK FM and WING 1410 ESPN Radio to provide Wright State Men’s Basketball games throughout the 2023-24 season. This partnership enhances the radio experience for our fans to enjoy the games on two stations as well as providing multiple advertising opportunities,” said Padraic McMeel, Wright State’s Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Operations. “We want to thank Justin Kinner and Alpha Media for their interest in providing radio coverage of Wright State men’s basketball and promotion all of our athletic programs.”

Wright State’s Chris Collins and Jim Brown will again call all the action on the radio for Raider fans all season long. Collins is in his 27th season as the Voice of the Raiders and Brown was on the Raider coaching staff as an assistant, associate and head coach for 28 years before now beginning his 11th season as a part of the radio broadcasts.
