A second-round draft pick of the Bengals in 2019, Sample has been credited by Cincinnati’s coaches as one of the top blocking TEs in NFL … Started first two games of 2022 regular season, but suffered a right knee injury in Game 2 at Dallas that proved to be season-ending … Played in all 21 games (including postseason) for Bengals in 2021, and saw action on a combined 42.5 percent of offensive snaps (578 of 1360) … Also a contributor on special teams, he played a combined 249 ST snaps in 2021 regular season and playoffs … Had streak of 39 consecutive games played (including postseason) for the Bengals before knee injury … Started 13 games in 2020 after TE C.J.
