#3 Buckeyes defense too much for #7 Penn State in 20-12 win; QB Kyle McCord Postgame News Conference

COLUMBUS, Ohio — No. 3 Ohio State (7-0, 4-0) outlasted No. 7 Penn State (6-1, 3-1) 20-12 in a defensive battle Saturday at Ohio Stadium.

The Buckeye defense held the Nittany Lions without a touchdown until the final minute of the game while allowing just a pair of field goals in the win.

Marvin Harrison Jr. caught 11 Kyle McCord passes for 162 yards and a score. McCord finished with 286 yards passing with 22 completions on 35 attempts.

Miyan Williams carried the ball 24 times for 62 yards and a touchdown to lead the Ohio State ground game.

Tommy Eichenberg led Ohio State with eight tackles.

The win for the Buckeyes was the seventh-consecutive victory over the Nittany Lions in the series.
