New York, NY [September 26, 2023] – The NFL has announced that for the first time, the NFL Fan of the Year contest will celebrate international fans of all 32 clubs.

The International Fan of the Year title celebrates extraordinary fans who inspire others with their passion for the game and have been a rallying force across their family, friends and local community through fandom.

Expanding beyond the U.S. to seven eligible international markets this season, enthusiastic fans from around the world who use football as a platform for inspiration and change can now be honored for their love of American football and proudly represent their favorite team.

Starting Tuesday, fans will be able to nominate themselves for consideration to become their team’s first NFL International Fan of the Year at nfl.com/fanoftheyear.

“We’re thrilled to spotlight fans across the globe for the first time this season as part of our NFL International Fan of the Year program. As the League grows globally, our dedicated fans outside the U.S. continue to exude their passion for football and their favorite teams,” said Stephanie Hsiao, Vice President – International Marketing at the NFL. “Our international fans make significant contributions to their local communities, help the NFL grow fandom in new markets and bring the excitement all season long – what better way to thank them and share our appreciation.”

Each of the 32 clubs will select an International Fan of the Year to represent their team at the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit, Michigan. The Ultimate NFL International Fan of the Year – the most impactful international fan across all 32 teams – will be named onsite at the 2024 NFL Draft.

The submission window for the contest will open Tuesday and remain open through 11:59 PM ET on December 31, 2024. All 32 nominees will be announced by the NFL on February 21, 2024.
