Will be the ninth all-time meeting between the Buckeyes and Terrapins
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State’s next game, an Oct. 7 date versus Maryland, will kick off at noon and be televised on FOX. The Big Ten announced that along with three other kick off times for week six of the season on Monday morning.
While Ohio State and Maryland don’t have a long history as Big Ten foes, their matchups have always been entertaining. Last season in College Park, Md., the Buckeyes won 43-30 in a back-and-forth game that wasn’t decided until the final moments of the fourth quarter. In 2018, Ohio State stopped a game-winning two-point conversion try by Maryland and escaped with a 52-51 win.
This season will be the ninth all-time meeting between the Terrapins and Buckeyes and fifth at Ohio Stadium. Ohio State leads the series 8-0 and has scored 40 or more points in every game. Maryland, which hosts Michigan State on Saturday, is 4-0 on the season and led by All-Big Ten quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa.
The Oct. 7 game will also mark Ohio State’s 111th Homecoming Weekend. It will be the 101st Homecoming game in program history. Ohio State is 75-19-5 in Homecoming games, a won-loss mark that does not include the 2010 win.
