TEAM
• Indiana is 12-79-5 all-time against Ohio State.

• Indiana opened the season with a Big Ten game for the fourth straight season (Illinois, 2022; at Iowa, 2021; Penn State, 2020) and the fifth time in Allen’s seven years as head coach (Ohio State, 2017).

• The Hoosiers opened the season against Ohio State for the sixth time in program history.

• Indiana’s game captains were DL Andre Carter, LB Aaron Casey, OL Mike Katic, DB Noah Pierre.

• Ohio State won the coin toss and deferred. Indiana received the opening kick.

​​• Thirteen Hoosiers made their first start for Indiana: TE Bradley Archer, DL Philip Blidi, OLB Lanell Carr Jr., DL Andre Carter, DL LeDarrius Cox, RB John Henderson, RB Jaylin Lucas, LB Jacob Mangum-Farrar, DB Louis Moore, DB Jamari Sharpe, OL Carter Smith, QB Brendan Sorsby, DB Nic Toomer.

• Eighteen transfer student-athletes made their Indiana debut: TE Bradley Archer, DL Philip Blidi, DL Marcus Burris Jr., OLB Lanell Carr Jr., DL Andre Carter, WR DeQuece Carter, QB Tayven Jackson, DL Jamier Johnson, DB JoJo Johnson, OLB Anthony Jones, DB Jamison Kelly, LB Jacob Mangum-Farrar, DB Tyrik McDaniel, DB Kobee Minor, LB Josh Rudolph, DB Nic Toomer, RB Christian Turner and WR E.J. Williams.

​​• One true freshman made their collegiate debut for Indiana: DB Amare Ferrell.

• Three Hoosiers made their collegiate debuts: TE Brody Foley, WR Camden Jordan and OLB Jackson Schott.

Marcus Burris Jr. | DL | R-So.
• Tied his career-high of one tackle in a game. Also had one tackle at Mississippi State (10/1) in 2022.

Lanell Carr Jr. | LB | Sr.
• Tied his career-high of three tackles in a game. He has recorded that mark four other times in his career.

Andre Carter | DL | R-Sr.+
• Made his first tackle for loss as a Hoosier on third down in the second quarter when he brought down Ohio State quarterback Devin Brown for a three-yard loss.
• Finished with 2.0 tackles for loss for his first double digit TFL game as a Hoosier.

DeQuece Carter | WR | Sr.+
• Recorded his first catch as a Hoosier when he made a 16-yard reception in the fourth quarter.

Aaron Casey | LB | R-Sr.+
• Registered fifth career double-digit tackle game with 11 stops against the Buckeyes.
• Tied his career-high for most tackles in a game. He also recorded 11 stops at Rutgers on Oct. 22, 2022.

Phillip Dunnam | DB | So.
• Grabbed first career interception in the second quarter off a Kyle McCord pass over the middle.
• Had a career-high six tackles in addition to his first career interception.

Amare Ferrell | DB | Fr.
• He made his first career tackle in the fourth quarter.

Chris Freeman | K | Sr.
• Converted first career field goal attempt with a 42-yard field goal in the second quarter.

Tayven Jackson | QB | R-Fr.
• Connected on a 24-yard completion to Cam Camper in the second quarter. It was the longest pass of his career.

Jamier Johnson | DB | Jr.
• Tied a career-high two tackles. Also had two stops in a game twice while at Texas.

Jaylin Lucas | RB/RS | So.
• Led the offense with a game-high 114 all-purpose yards (24 rushing, 1 receiving, 38 kickoff return, 51 punt return).
• Made first career punt return in the second quarter and took it for a 29-yard gain.

Louis Moore | DB | So.
• Notched a career-high six tackles in a game.

Brendan Sorsby | QB | R-Fr.
• Made first career start versus Ohio State and was 8-of-16 passing with 58 yards.
• Converted on a career-long 19-yard completion to E.J. Williams in the fourth quarter.

Christian Turner | RB | R-Sr.+
• In his first game as a Hoosier, rushed seven times for 29 yards.

E.J. Williams Jr. | WR | Sr.
• Made first reception as a Hoosier as he hauled in a 19-yard grab in the fourth quarter.
