Field includes seven of the top-10 in the Charles Schwab Cup and nine past winners of the Buick Open
GRAND BLANC, Mich. – Tournament Officials announced today the details regarding the final field for the fifth playing of The Ally Challenge presented by McLaren at Warwick Hills Golf and Country Club in Grand Blanc, Mich. This elite roster of 78* players collectively represent 220 PGA TOUR Champions victories, including 19 senior major championship titles. The field also contains seven of the top-10 players in the Charles Schwab Cup standings, including top-ranked Steve Stricker, the defending champion of The Ally Challenge, and Bernhard Langer, who became the oldest U.S. Senior Open champion (65) and set the record for most PGA TOUR Champions wins (46) with a two-stroke triumph over Stricker in July at SentryWorld in Stevens Point, Wis.
All five champions of The Ally Challenge will be competing in this year’s field, Paul Broadhurst (2018), Jerry Kelly (2019), Jim Furyk (2020), Joe Durant (2021), and Steve Stricker (2022). Past winners of the Buick Open will also be well represented this year in Grand Blanc. Nine members of that esteemed fraternity will be competing at Warwick Hills, including Jim Furyk, Kenny Perry, Vijay Singh, Justin Leonard, Scott Verplank, Woody Austin, Billy Mayfair, Rocco Mediate, and Tom Pernice, Jr.
