Major League Baseball today announced the schedule for the 2023 season of the Arizona Fall League (AFL). This year represents the 30^th anniversary of Baseball’s premier development league, which has helped propel the careers of some of the game’s best recent and current Major League stars.

Here are the key moments of the upcoming Arizona Fall League Season:

  • Tuesday, September 26^th – AFL Players

  • Monday, October 2^nd – OPENING DAY
  • Saturday, October 14^th (Goodyear Ballpark) – NEUTRAL SITE TRIPLEHEADER GAMES
  • NOTE: This special event is designed as a “triple-header” where all AFL teams play in the same ballpark on the same day.
  • Saturday, October 28^th (Hohokam Stadium – Javelinas vs. Solar Sox)– NEUTRAL SITE GAME
  • Friday, November 3^rd & Saturday, November 4^th – AFL HOME RUN DERBY & FALL STARS GAME @ Sloan Park for second consecutive season
  • Friday, November 10^th – AFL PLAY-IN GAME @ Camelback Ranch
  • NOTE: Play-In Game will feature the 2^nd and 3^rd seeds competing to face the #1 ranked AFL team in the AFL Championship
  • Saturday, November 11^th – AFL Championship Game @ Scottsdale Stadium

  • Each Major League team will send several top prospects to fill the rosters of the following six teams (and home venues) for the 2023 AFL Season
  • All teams will play 30 Games, with most game times starting at either 2:30 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. (Arizona Time)
  • NOTE: 2:30 p.m. start times are a new component for Arizona Fall League.
  • Additional promotional dates and youth engagement activities will be announced.

Tickets for the Arizona Fall League can now be purchased online through the AFL website HERE or at the box office on any game-day. Additional information on how to apply for media credentials will be shared at a later today.

The Arizona Fall League is professional baseball’s premier development league, with each season featuring the best prospects affiliated with every MLB Club. Thirty-six of the 76 players selected to participate in the 2023 MLB All-Star Game in Seattle played in the Arizona Fall League.
