Arizona Diamondbacks All-Star outfielder Corbin Carroll has been voted the National League Rookie of
the Month for June, and infielder Gunnar Henderson of the Baltimore Orioles has been voted the American
League Rookie of the Month for June.

Carroll, who earned a fan election and will return home to his native Seattle to start in the NL outfield at the
Midsummer Classic, became just the fifth D-backs player to win the NL Rookie of the Month Award, and the first since Chris Owings in April 2014 (also: Gerardo Parra in May 2009; Daniel Hudson in August 2010 and Wade Miley in April 2012). Henderson similarly won his first monthly honor and became the first Orioles player to win since his teammate Ryan Mountcastle in June 2021. Overall, Henderson was the sixth Baltimore player to claim the award, also joining Reynaldo Lopez (July 2002), Nick Markakis (August 2006), Nolan Reimold (June 2009) and Brian Matusz (August 2010).

• The 22-year-old, who is the youngest player on either All-Star roster,hit .291 (30-for-103) with eight home runs, 22 RBI, seven doubles, two triples, 25 runs scored, eight stolen bases, a .631 slugging percentage and a .348 on-base percentage across 26 games played in June.
• Carroll delivered a career-best four hits in a 6-2 road win over the Washington Nationals on June 7th, posting a home run, two RBI, three runs scored and a stolen base in the win.
• The 16th overall pick in the 2019 Draft followed up his four-hit outing with a three-hit, two-homer performance on June 9th in an 11-6 win over the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park. Carroll connected on his first career grand slam in his first career multi-homer contest.
• The dynamic outfielder hit safely and scored a run in seven of eight games from June 4th-June 13th,
batting .500 (16-for-32) with five homers, 11 RBI and three stolen bases during the stretch.
• Carroll, who joins pitcher Wade Miley (2012) as the only rookie All-Stars in D-backs history, finished
among Major League leaders for the month in runs (4th, 25); RBI (T-6th, 22) and home runs (T-7th, 8).

• The 22-year-old hit .320 (24-for-75) with six home runs, 16 RBI, four doubles, one triple, 10 run scored, three stolen bases, a .640 slugging percentage and a .354 on-base percentage in his 20 games played during June.
• Henderson homered in three straight games from June 10th-13th for the first time in his career. His 462-foot homer on June 11th during an 11-3 victory over the visiting Kansas City Royals landed on Eutaw Street and marked the longest homer by an Orioles rookie in the Statcast era.
• The Alabama native slugged his first career grand slam on June 13th in an 11-6 victory over the visiting
Toronto Blue Jays, leading Baltimore to its fifth straight win.
• Henderson hit safely in six consecutive games from June 8th-13th, batting .542 (13-for-24) with four
homers and 10 RBI in that span.
• The second round pick in 2019 led AL rookies for the month in homers, RBI, slugging and OPS (.994),
and ranked among AL rookie in total bases (2nd, 48); extra-base hits (T-2nd, 11); triples (T-2nd); batting
average (3rd); on-base percentage (6th); hits (T-6th); runs (T-5th); steals (T-5th); and doubles (T-8th).

Others receiving votes for NL Rookie of the Month included Miami Marlins 20-year-old starting pitcher Eury
Pérez (3-0, 0.32 ERA, 5 GS, 28.0 IP, 18 H, 5 BB, 35 SO) in his first full month following his May 12th Major
League debut; Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Andrew Abbott (4-0, 1.21 ERA, 5 GS, 29.2 IP, 16 H, 12 BB, 30 SO) in his first month in the big leagues following his June 5th debut, and his teammates Elly De La Cruz (.307, 3 HR, 12 RBI, 6 2B, 2 3B, 21 R, 9 SB, .523 SLG; cycle on 6/23), who also debuted during the month (June 6th), and Matt McLain (.287, 5 HR, 19 RBI, 7 2B, 4 3B, 20 R, 3 SB, .548 SLG); shortstop Ezequiel Tovar (.323, 5 HR, 17 RBI, 5 2B, 1 3B, 14 R, 2 SB, .552 SLG) of the Colorado Rockies; St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Jordan Walker (.338, 4 HR, 9 RBI, 3 2B, 9 R, 1 SB, .549 SLG), who compiled a 17-game hitting streak; and catcher Patrick Bailey (.316, 3 HR, 14 RBI, 7 2B, 1 3B, 9 R, .553 SLG) of the San Francisco Giants.

Others receiving votes for AL Rookie of the Month included outfielder Will Brennan (.333, 3 HR, 14 RBI, 8
2B, 6 R, 2 SB, .529 SLG) of the Cleveland Guardians; outfielder Masataka Yoshida (.269, 2 HR, 9 RBI, 5 2B, 1 3B, 11 R, 1 SB, .409 SLG) of the Boston Red Sox; catcher/designated hitter Yainer Díaz (.310, 5 HR, 12 RBI, 8 2B, 8 R, .583 SLG) and starting pitcher J.P. France (2-2, 2.43 ERA, 5 GS, 33.1 IP, 26 H, 12 BB, 18 SO) of the Houston Astros; and 2023 All-Star fan-elected starting third baseman Josh Jung (.233, 5 HR, 12 RBI, 4 2B, 16 R, .417 SLG) of the Texas Rangers.
