NHL News: Start Times Set for 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs First Round Games on April 28 and April 29

NEW YORK (April 25, 2023) – The National Hockey League today announced the following updates to the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs First Round schedule:

Friday, April 28

  • The start time of Game 6 of the First Round series between the Colorado Avalanche and Seattle Kraken is set for 10 p.m. ET on Friday, April 28, in Seattle. National broadcast information will be announced when available.
  • The start times and national broadcast information for the potential Game 6, if necessary, of the First Round series between the Boston Bruins and Florida Panthers, scheduled for Friday, April 28, in Sunrise; for the potential Game 6, if necessary, of the First Round series between the Carolina Hurricanes and New York Islanders, scheduled for Friday, April 28, in New York; and for Game 6 of the First Round Series between the Dallas Stars and Minnesota Wild, scheduled for Friday, April 28, in St. Paul, will be announced when available.

Saturday, April 29

  • The start time of Game 6 of the First Round series between the New Jersey Devils and New York Rangers is set for 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, in New York. The game will be televised on ABC and ESPN+ in the U.S. Canadian national broadcast information will be announced when available.
  • The start times and national broadcast information for the potential Game 6, if necessary, of the First Round series between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Tampa Bay Lightning, scheduled for Saturday, April 29, in Tampa; for the potential Game 6, if necessary, of the First Round series between the Vegas Golden Knights and Winnipeg Jets, scheduled for Saturday, April 29, in Winnipeg; and for Game 6 of the First Round Series between the Edmonton Oilers and Los Angeles Kings, scheduled for Saturday, April 29, in Los Angeles, will be announced when available.
