2023 Ohio State Spring Game Weekend Tips, Notes and Details

Get your tickets early, plan ahead, arrive early and be patient as there is some road construction 

COLUMBUS, Ohio – It’s going to be 77 degrees on Saturday, tickets can be purchased for only $7, parking is free and the Ohio State Buckeyes are going to be playing football at Ohio Stadium during the 2023 LiFEsports Spring Game, presented by Union Home Mortgage. Kickoff is set for 12:05 p.m. with Ohio State’s scarlet-clad offense taking on the gray-adorned defense.

Game Tickets Available

Fans interested in attending the game are encouraged to get their tickets early if they have not already done so. Tickets are available at http://go.osu.edu/fbtix. General admission prices are $7, plus there will be a limited number of reserved seating options available at $15 and $30. Service charges may apply.

Season Tickets On Sale Now

On the subject of tickets: 2023 season football tickets are on sale now for the general public at https://am.ticketmaster.com/buckeyes/23FBDeposit.

Regarding Saturday:

§  The ticket office at Gate 5 will be open at 9 a.m. for fans needing assistance.

§  Fans are encouraged to plan ahead, arrive early and be patient as there is some road construction around the stadium. Specifically, Cannon Drive is closed between 12th Avenue and John H. Herrick Drive, the Herrick and Cannon intersection is closed, as is the John Herrick Bridge.

§  Parking is free in typical adjacent and athletic lots on campus with the exception of West Stadium (permit only) and North St. John Arena (disability).

§  Kickoff will be at 12:05 p.m. and there will be a 10-minute halftime.

§  The game format will be similar to last year with the offense against the defense. Offense scoring is traditional. Defense scores via takeaway TD (6 points), takeaway (3 points), 3-and-out (3 points), quarterback sack (2 points) and forced punt (1 point). 

§  The game will be televised live on the Big Ten Network with Chris Vosters, Joshua Perry and Brooke Fletcher calling the action.

§  The game will also be carried on the statewide Ohio State Sports Radio Network and flagship WBNS 97.1 FM The Fan with Paul Keels and Jim Lachey on the call.

And Regarding the 4 Miler Sunday:

§  The Ohio State 4 Miler, presented by the Ohio Beef Council, Raising Cane’s, and Union Home Mortgage, returns to Ohio Stadium as a springtime event.

§  The run/walk celebration of football and fitness will be held on Sunday, April 16.

§  The race will start at 10 a.m. with the final racer finishing around 12:30 p.m.

§  Traffic closures will start around the area as early as 4 a.m.
