ATLANTA — Xavier University head coach Sean Miller has been named to the 2023 Werner Ladder Naismith Men’s College Coach of the Year Late Season Watch List.

No. 16 Xavier is 19-7 overall and 11-4 in the BIG EAST Conference. The 19 wins already surpass last season’s regular-season total of 18 wins. The 11 BIG EAST wins are two more than Xavier has won in any season since XU won the league regular season title in 2018 at 15-3.

Xavier has five regular season BIG EAST games left on the schedule, starting with the DePaul game on Saturday.

Miller, who was the Xavier head coach for five seasons from 2004-09, holds a 139-54 (.720) mark in his sixth season leading Xavier. His 139 wins at Xavier rank him fourth on Xavier’s all-time wins list.
