  • The Blue Jackets play their first games following the club’s season break with a home-and-home series against the Maple Leafs.  The club plays its 10th of 17 back-to-back sets of the season on Friday/Saturday.
  • The series is the second of two home-and-home sets for the club in 2022-23 after playing the Colorado Avalanche in the 2022 Global Series in Tampere, Finland from November 4-5.
  • Last Tuesday’s contest against the Capitals kicked off a run of four consecutive games against the Eastern Conference that runs through February 14 against New Jersey.  The club will then play six-straight against the Western Confrerence from February 16-26.
  • The club has killed off 24-of-28 opponent power plays over the last 11 games dating back to January 12 (85.7 pct.; 12th-T in NHL).
  • The Jackets rank third-T in the NHL in power play percentage since January 21, scoring on 5-of-15 chances (33.3 pct.) over their last six games.
  • Columbus blueliners have registered 6-16-22 in the last 12 contests and 22-57-79 in 51 games this season.
  • CBJ rookies have combined for 17-13-30 over the last 20 games and lead all NHL teams in goals and rank second in points with 30-31-61 in 51 contests in 2022-23.  It’s the fourth-most goals scored by team rookies in franchise history, trailing only 2017-18 (37), 2019-20 (35) and 2000-01 (33).  RW Kirill Marchenko (13) and C Kent Johnson (10) are the third pair of rookie teammates to score double digit goals in a single season in club history, joining C Serge Aubin (13) and RW David Vyborny (13) in 2000-01 and C Pierre-Luc Dubois (20) and LW Sonny Milano (14) in 2017-18.

  • LW Johnny Gaudreau skated in his seventh career NHL All-Star – and first representing the Blue Jackets – on February 4.  He has collected points in six of his last seven games (2-6-8) and leads the team in assists and points with 14-35-49 in 51 contests this season.
  • Boone Jenner, who has registered points in four of his last six contests (3-1-4), skated in his 628th career game on January 28 at Seattle, passing Cam Atkinson for the second-most games played in franchise history.
  • Kent Johnson has collected 2-3-5 in the past six contests.  He ranks fifth among NHL rookies in goals (tied) and points and seventh-T in points-per-game (min. 20 GP) with 10-14-24 in 48 contests (.50 Pt/GP).
  • LW Patrik Laine has tallied assists in six of the past seven outings (2-7-9).  He has collected 5-10-15 in his last 12 contests to raise his season totals to 14-17-31 in 36 contests.
  • RW Kirill Marchenko ranks second-T among NHL rookie goal scorers in 2022-23 with 13-0-13 in 28 games and leads League rookies in goals and ranks fourth-T in points since making his NHL debut on December 6.  He is the third player in NHL history to have each of his first 13 or more career regular-season points come solely in the form of goals, joining Joe Malone (16-0-16 in 1917-18 w/ MTL) and John McKinnon (13-0-13 in 1926-27 w/ PIR).
  • Andrew Peeke notched his fifth goal of the campaign against Washington last Tuesday.  He leads team blueliners in goals and all players in blocked shots, ranking 20th-T overall in the NHL with 100.
  • Jack Roslovic has picked up 3-18-21 in 30 outings since December 1 after totaling 1-5-6 in his first 18 games of the campaign.
