Wright State Men’s Basketball News: Raiders February 10 contest against Northern Kentucky selected for ESPNU

1/31/2023

INDIANAPOLIS/DAYTON – The Wright State men’s basketball game against Northern Kentucky on Friday, February 10 has been selected to be nationally televised on ESPNU, the Horizon League and ESPN announced on Tuesday afternoon.

The game moves up to a 9 p.m. tipoff with the national television selection.

It will be the second national television appearance for the Raiders this season after Wright State grabbed a 90-85 home victory over Detroit Mercy back on January 6 on ESPN2. Wright State is also in the mix for the final Horizon League linear television selection of the season set for February 17. The Raiders, who are at Cleveland State that night, are one of three available game options for the Horizon League and ESPN to choose from for the selection.

Wright State’s January 6 win marked the 30th national television broadcast for the Raiders under head coach Scott Nagy. Wright State played in seven national television games in the 2021-22 season, including three during the regular season before two Horizon League tournament broadcasts and two NCAA national productions, as the Raiders tallied a 5-2 record in those games.

The Raiders are coming off a pair of home wins last weekend but now play six of their final eight regular season contests on the road in February, with the Northern Kentucky game on February 10 and a meeting with IUPUI two days prior the two remaining games inside the Nutter Center.

Wright State begins February with a visit to Youngstown State on Thursday night before facing Robert Morris on Saturday.
