  • The Blue Jackets picked up a point for the second-straight home game (1-0-1) following the 4-3 overtime loss to the Capitals.  CBJ moved to 2-2-2 in their past six games. 
  • The club has played past regulation in three of its last five games (1-2-2).
  • Columbus has now earned points in nine of the last 15 games of the series vs. Washington since Feb. 26, 2018 (7-6-2), but Washington has won four-straight (CBJ; 0-3-1).
  • The winning team in the series has scored four or more goals in five of the past seven games.
  • The Blue Jackets killed off the Capitals’ lone power play attempt tonight and have now killed off 24-of-28 opponent power play chances over the last 11 games (85.7 pct.).
  • The club’s blueliners posted 1-1-2 tonight and have now registered 6-16-22 in the last 12 contests and 22-57-79 in 52 games this season.

«  The Blue Jackets were led by D Erik Gudbranson in shots (4) and in TOI (24:23), D Tim Berni in hits (7) and F Cole Sillinger in blocked shots (3).

«  LW Johnny Gaudreau tied for the team lead with his 14th goal of the season.  He has registered 2-6-8 in the last seven contests and 3-8-11 in his past 11 games (overall, 14-35-49 in 51 GP).  He now has 3-13-16 in 17 career games against Washington, including points in 10 of his last 11 outings (3-11-14) as well as points in each of his past six home games (2-6-8) and seven of his nine home games in his career (2-8-10).

«  LW Patrik Laine tallied his 17th assist of the campaign, giving him 2-7-9 in the past seven games and 5-10-15 over the last 12 contests (14-17-31 in 36 GP).  He improved to 4-2-6 in 13 career outings vs. the Capitals, including 3-2-5 in his last five games against the club.

«  D Andrew Peeke scored the Blue Jackets first goal of the game to give him 2-1-3 in his last nine games (overall, 5-3-8 in 49 GP).

«  D Gavin Bayreuther recorded his fourth assist of the season and now has 2-3-5 in his last 10 appearances (overall, 2-4-6 in 22 GP).
