Philip Alston records his first Loyola double-double while reaching 1,000 career points

Loyola University Chicago (6-11, 0-5 A-10) was fell into an early hole Saturday (Jan. 14) afternoon and was unable to come back, falling 86-55 on the road at Saint Joseph’s (7-10, 1-4 A-10).
 
Philip Alston became the program’s 47th member of the 1,000-point club as his seven first-half points gave the junior exactly 1,000 career points between his time at California (PA) and Loyola. Alston would finish the game with team highs in scoring and rebounding with 16 points and 11 rebounds for his second double-double of the season.
