  • The Blue Jackets have earned points in each of their last two games (1-0-1) following a 4-3 overtime loss at Calgary on Monday.
  • Columbus kicked off a second-straight four games in six days stretch on Monday at Calgary.  The club also visits the Oilers, Canucks and Kraken between January 23-28.
  • The club, which has three more games on its four-game road trip, is 1-1-1 in its last three contests away from Nationwide Arena.
  • The Blue Jackets kicked off a stretch of seven consecutive contests against the Western Conference last Tuesday.  After facing the Central Division’s Predators, the team plays six-straight against the Pacific Division from January 19-28.  CBJ are 4-1-2 against the Pacific in 2022-23.
  • CBJ rank second in the NHL in penalty kill percentage since January 12 (95.0 pct.), trailing only Boston (95.5 pct.).  The club has killed off 19-of-20 opponent power plays over the last seven games.
  • The Jackets have scored power play goals in two-straight games (3-of-6; 50.0 pct.), including their sixth contest with multiple power play goals on Monday at Calgary (2-of-4).
  • Columbus blueliners have registered 5-11-16 in the last eight contests and have combined for 21-52-73 in 47 games during the 2022-23 season.
  • The Blue Jackets are tied with Nashville with a League-high 24 different players to score a goal this season.

BLUE JACKETS PLAYER NOTES

  • Nick Blankenburg collected his first career multi-assist game and third career multi-point effort with two assists against San Jose on Saturday.  He has registered 1-3-4 in his last six contests and has collected 3-4-7 in 14 outings in 2022-23.
  • LW Johnny Gaudreau registered multiple points for the second-straight game (1-3-4) and a team-leading 13th time this season with two assists against Calgary.  He has collected assists in three-straight games (1-4-5) and has 2-6-8 in his past seven outings.  He leads the team in assists and points with 13-33-46 in 47 contests and was named to his first NHL All-Star Game as a Blue Jacket and seventh in his career.
  • Boone Jenner has notched goals in each of the past two contests.
  • Kent Johnson picked up his third multi-point effort of the campaign with two assists on Saturday.  He ranks sixth among NHL rookies in goals (tied) and points and 10th in points-per-game (min. 20 GP) with 8-13-21 in 44 contests (.48 Pt/GP).
  • LW Patrik Laine factored in on all three of the Blue Jackets’ goals on Monday (1-2-3) for his third three-point outing of the campaign.  He has picked up assists in three consecutive games (2-4-6) and has 5-7-12 in his last eight contests.  He has tallied 12-12-24 in 24 contests since December 1 to raise his season totals to 14-14-28 in 32 contests.
  • RW Kirill Marchenko ranks fourth among NHL rookie goal scorers in 2022-23 with 10-0-10 in 24 games but leads League rookies in goals and ranks fifth-T in points since making his NHL debut on December 6.
  • Gustav Nyquist tallied his second game-winning goal of the season and added an assist for his fifth multi-point effort against the Sharks on Saturday.  He has registered 2-2-4 in his last five games.
  • Jack Roslovic had his five-game points streak (1-5-6) snapped on Monday at Calgary.  It was one game shy of tying his career high (twice, MR: 5-2-7 from Apr. 17-28, 2022).  He has picked up 3-17-20 in 26 outings since December 1 after totaling 1-5-6 in his first 18 games of the campaign.
