Xaviers’ Zach Freemantle earns Big East Weekly Honor Roll for the 5th Time this season

CINCINNATI — Xavier University senior Zach Freemantle has been named to the BIG EAST Conference Honor Roll after averaging 24.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.0 steals in games this past week at DePaul on Jan. 18 and vs. Georgetown on Jan. 21. Freemantle, who shot 59.4 percent (19-32) from the field for the week, tied his career high with 30 points in the Georgetown win to go with 11 rebounds and seven assists.

This is the fifth time that Freemantle has won a BIG EAST weekly award this season, including his fourth time on the Honor Roll.

Freemantle is second on the team and 10th in the BIG EAST in scoring at 15.4 ppg. He leads the team and is fourth in the BIG EAST in rebounding at 8.5 rpg.

Xavier has had an honoree in all 11 weeks of BIG EAST awards this season. Four different Xavier players have been honored at least once this season.
